A Florida woman who went viral after claiming she married her stepfather has come clean about their relationship, saying her husband is actually her late brother’s best friend — not her mother’s ex.
Christy, who uses the handle @Christywho_, stunned TikTok last week when she shared a six-second video of herself passionately kissing her ‘stepdad’ at their Las Vegas wedding while their friends cheered.
‘Marrying my stepdad was the best decision I’ve ever made,’ the 26-year-old wrote in the on-screen text. She added the hashtags #marryyourmomsex and #agegap in the caption.
Christy has since claimed it was a joke, admitting that their real love story is ‘not as interesting’ as the one she concocted.

The shocking video has been viewed 23.4 million times and has received more than 127,000 comments from appalled viewers since it was posted on February 27.

Others couldn’t resist cracking a few jokes, with one TikTok user calling it the ‘true version of keep it in the family.’

Viewers also had plenty of questions for Christy, who doubled down on her outrageous claims in a follow-up clip in which she still referred to her husband as her stepdad.
‘Let’s clear some things up until the story time is posted,’ she wrote in the on-screen text. ‘Was I “groomed?” No. Was I minor when I met him? No. Did my stepdad raise me? No. Do me and my mom still talk? Yes. Did he have kids with my mom? No.’

However, the overwhelming response may have been too much for Christy, who told the New York Post on Tuesday that it was ‘a joke.’
Christy shared her and her husband’s ‘real story’ in another video, saying they were brought together by tragedy.
She explained that she and her older brother, Shaun Christopher Harris, were best friends and did everything together until he died in a motorcycle accident.

After the couple fell in love, they welcomed their first daughter, Kali Shine, and their son, Kash Christopher, who are both named after her late brother.

In another follow-up video, Christy shared screenshots of all the headlines she made with her stepdad claims, once again stressing that it was all a joke.
