A major update has emerged regarding the tragic death of Liam Payne.

The 31-year-old fell from the balcony of his third-floor room at the CasaSur hotel, suffering fatal injuries described by Alberto Crescenti, head of the state emergency medical system, as “incompatible with life”.
Payne had succumbed to “internal and external hemorrhaging” after plunging 40 meters, an autopsy later confirmed in the Argentinian capital.
In the wake of his death, Buenos Aires police launched a thorough investigation, initially questioning five individuals linked to the distressing event.

Now, Argentinian authorities have confirmed that three individuals have been detained, and a significant raid has been carried out at the Buenos Aires hotel where the singer died, BBC News has reported.
On October 23, the CasaSur hotel became the focal point of the investigation as police conducted a significant raid, seizing crucial evidence including computer hard drives and hotel camera footage, a government official disclosed to AP.
The latest updates from ABC News Worldwide and Argentine media outlet La Nacion reveal that two hotel employees and an Argentine businessman – a reported acquaintance of Payne – have now been arrested. It remains unclear if these detentions are connected to the initial investigations.

According to a statement from the office of prosecutor Andres Esteban Madrea, reported by Sky News, the arrested individuals face charges of “abandonment of a person followed by death, supply, and facilitation of narcotics”.
Payne’s body had been held in Argentina pending an autopsy and toxicology tests, but has since been released to his family for repatriation to the UK, where he will be laid to rest.
Fans have been leaving floral tributes, balloons, cards, and photos of Payne at a church where his funeral is believed to be being held.
Several fan-organized memorials have also taken place around the world to pay tribute to the star.

Many have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to urge others not to attend the main funeral, in order to allow Payne’s family and bandmates to grieve in peace.
As the legal proceedings unfold, tributes have poured in for the beloved artist. Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, who was with him in Argentina shortly before his death, mourned the loss of the ‘Strip That Down’ singer, remembering him as her “best friend and love of her life.”

Additionally, more than 130,000 people signed a new Change.org petition calling for legislation to “safeguard artists’ regarding their mental health in the entertainment industry” – a change they are calling “Liam’s Law”.
Our thoughts continue to go out to Payne’s family, friends, and fans at this time.

An emotional and teary-eyed Jimmy Kimmel calls Trump’s win ‘a terrible night for everyone’
By stefan armitage
Jimmy Kimmel has delivered an emotionally charged monologue on the heels of Donald Trump’s election victory, labeling it a “terrible night”.
On Wednesday, history was made as 78-year-old Trump became only the second president ever to regain the White House after losing his first bid for re-election.

It was undoubtedly a landslide win for Trump, as he took control of swing states such as North Carolina, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.
However, despite Trump vowing to bring America into its “golden age” during his victory address, his critics have been voicing their concerns. These include many high-profile stars, such as Kimmel.
In a somber moment from the late-night talk show host, a visibly emotional Kimmel – with his voice breaking and tears in his eyes – criticized the electoral outcome that he saw as a choice between a “prosecutor and a criminal,” lamenting that the latter had prevailed in the race.
The result, he argued, was beneficial for Vladimir Putin, highlighting the potential repercussions for global politics including America’s stance towards Ukraine.
Kimmel, visibly upset, listed those he believed would suffer under this new presidency.
“It was a terrible night for women, for children, for the hundreds of thousands of hard-working immigrants who make this country go, for healthcare, for our climate, for science, for journalism, for justice, for free speech,” Kimmel said.
He added: “It was a terrible night for poor people, for the middle class, for seniors who rely on social security, for our allies in Ukraine, for NATO, for the truth, and democracy and decency. And it was a terrible night for everyone who voted against him. And guess what? It was a bad night for everyone who voted for him too, you just don’t realize it yet.”

Kimmel’s dismay was echoed by fellow late-night hosts.
Stephen Colbert bluntly opened his show with: “Well f***, it happened again.” He described the campaign as “bizarre and vicious,” a quest driven by Trump’s “desperate need not to go to jail”.
Seth Meyers on NBC’s late-night also chimed in with his take, admitting: “I don’t think Donald Trump’s a good person, I’d even go so far as to say he’s a bad person.” However, he acknowledged the democratic process: “That’s how democracy works in America. A country that is a privilege to live in.”
Throughout the campaign, Kamala Harris garnered the support of a constellation of celebrities from Jennifer Lopez and Taylor Swift to Bruce Springsteen and Oprah Winfrey.
However, their endorsements did not translate into electoral success in crucial swing states.

Meanwhile, Trump enjoyed the backing of high-profile figures like Elon Musk and podcast sensation Joe Rogan, who notably hosted the now-president-elect on his show shortly before Election Day.
Although many people argue against celebrities speaking out about politics, there’s no doubt that star power has complex and unpredictable effects on political fortunes.

Chris Hemsworth shares health update with fans following Alzheimer’s discovery
By stefan armitage
Chris Hemsworth, famed for wielding Thor’s hammer, has taken to Instagram to share an update on a personal battle.
Hemsworth has shared an update with fans: Theo Wargo/Getty
Two years ago, during the filming of his Discovery+ series Limitless – which explores ways to enhance longevity and quality of life – Hemsworth discovered he carries two copies of the APOE4 gene, significantly heightening his risk for Alzheimer’s disease.
The revelation came while Hemsworth was participating in an episode about memory, which included a thorough analysis of his brain.
It was a pivotal moment for the now-41-year-old actor, who learned he inherited the gene from both his parents, making his case particularly notable since carrying two copies of APOE4 is linked to a much higher risk of developing Alzheimer’s.
Chris Hemsworth has opened up about the steps he is taking to change his life after finding out he is at risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease in the future.
According to the Mayo Clinic, Alzheimer’s is a progressive brain disorder that is the most common cause of dementia. It is most often diagnosed over the age of 65.

The disorder is characterized by changes in the brain that cause it to shrink and brain cells to eventually die, and the symptoms commonly include a gradual decline in memory, thinking, behavior, and social skills, gradually causing the patient to lose the ability to function.
He said at the time: “You’re constantly thinking you’re going to live forever, especially as a young individual. Then to be told that this might be the thing that might take you out was like, whoa – it kinda floored me.”
Following this discovery, Hemsworth decided to step back from acting, sparking rumors of retirement. However, he clarified that he had already planned to take a break after a grueling decade of back-to-back filming, averaging three to four productions a year.
His hiatus was brief, as he returned to the big screen in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga earlier this year and lent his voice to Optimus Prime in Transformers One, released just two months ago.
Now, he has provided fans with an update on his health journey.
In his recent Instagram post, Hemsworth shared a snapshot alongside Dr. Adeel Khan, a pioneer in regenerative stem cell research. He expressed his enthusiasm for Dr. Khan’s work with MUSE cells, a groundbreaking type of regenerative stem cell, and his collaboration with Professor Mari Dezawa, who developed these cells.
“Really enjoyed meeting Dr. Adeel Khan (@dr.akhan),” Hemsworth wrote. “His work with MUSE cells – an incredible type of regenerative stem cell, is unique.
“The fact that he collaborates directly with Professor Mari Dezawa, who pioneered these cells, made me feel confident that I was in the hands of someone at the very forefront of regenerative medicine.”
This health update comes amid rising global concerns about Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
Over six million Americans currently live with Alzheimer’s, with more than 55 million people affected worldwide – a number projected to nearly double every 20 years.
This staggering increase emphasizes the urgency in understanding and combating this debilitating condition, which slowly degenerates the nervous system, leading to eventual death.
Last year, Hemsworth opened up to Men’s Health about how he has changed his workout routines following the news. He told Men’s Health: “It was a good kick in the a**e and a reminder to do whatever is in my power to give myself the best fighting chance. Whatever work I’m doing for my brain health benefits the rest of my body – we turned it into a positive.”
“I’ve always been pretty consistent with my exercise commitments, but lately I’ve really felt the importance of taking time for yourself without any outside voice or stimulation and making time for stillness,” Hemsworth added.
“I do a lot of meditation and breath work mostly during sauna and ice bath routines. For me my favorite mindfulness work comes from the immersion in physical actives that allow me to be fully present and force me out of me head and into my body, in particular surfing.”
We wish Hemsworth the very best on his continued health journey.

Rachins also discussed his approach to acting and the unpredictable nature of the entertainment industry: “You just do the next thing that comes along and do the best with it you can and see what happens. It’s a crapshoot, and you can’t really exert control.”
