Wicked is set to be one of the biggest films of 2024. But the film’s marketing campaign has been left a little red-faced after linking to a pornography website on doll boxes packaging the movie’s memorabilia.
Released to global audiences on 22 November, Wicked stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba Thropp, a misunderstood young woman who later turns into the Wicked Witch of the West that we all know from The Wizard of Oz.
It also stars Ariana Grande as Glinda Upland, who later becomes Glinda the Good Witch of the North. The film follows the two of them as they form an unlikely friendship.
With a budget of $145 million (£112 million), it is set to be a blockbuster that millions around the world will go and see with a star-studded cast including Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, Peter Dinklage, and Jonathan Bailey.
To go alongside the movie, Mattel created a run of limited edition dolls inspired by the characters brought to life by Grande and Erivo.
But the team creating the merchandise have been left with their heads in their hands after inadvertently linking to adult content via a URL on the doll boxes containing characters from the film.

Being sold through the likes of Amazon, Walmart, and Target, they have been available for purchase since 26 September for $39.99 (£31).
Dolls for the Glinda, Elphaba, Nessarose, Madame Morrible, and Fiyero dolls have been issued, with passionate fans snapping them up weeks before the film is even released.
But the packaging for said dolls has caused quite a stir online due to a very unfortunate website linked on the bottom of the boxes.
Linking to www.wicked.com, the website is in fact a pornographic website offering ‘cinematic and parody porn movies’ and has nothing to do with the official film.
The website is age-restricted with those typing it in asked to confirm they are at least 18 years old.

A NSFW website, that’s for sure (X/@just2goodyt)
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), shoppers have been left chuckling at the NSFW error found initially on a Glinda doll box. The actual URL for the film is www.wickedmovie.com.
Other merch was inspected by fans who found that Lego didn’t make the same mistake on its Wicked products.
In a statement, Mattel said it was aware of the error.
A spokesperson said: “Mattel was made aware of a misprint on the packaging of the Mattel Wicked collection dolls, primarily sold in the U.S., which intended to direct consumers to the official WickedMovie.com landing page. We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this.
“Parents are advised that the misprinted, incorrect website is not appropriate for children.
“Consumers who already have the product are advised to discard the product packaging or obscure the link and may contact Mattel Customer Service for further information.”
LADbible has contacted Mattel for further comment.

One man says he gave the product to his adult son to try as he was suffering from hair loss: “He loves it. His head feels invigorated and his dandruff has gone as well. He has said that there is definitely less hair in his comb these days. So, it’s looking promising.”
Another agreed, adding: “While using this I feel like I’ve got lots of little baby hairs peeking through in the areas that were thinning out so I’m really pleased.”
The product in question is from Mancave, a brand renowned for its high-quality skin and haircare products and it’s safe to say people are pretty excited about the latest launch, which says results can be achieved in just ’30 days’.
Here’s everything we know about the cult product, from reviews to the price.
What are the ingredients?
According to the brand, its Caffeine+ Scalp Serum is an innovative formula designed to energise the scalp, promote hair growth, and strengthen roots.
The hero ingredient is one that helps us all to feel energised on a morning: caffeine. It seems to have the ability to wake up the scalp too, as it’s designed to stimulate and boost circulation – ensuring hair follicles have the nutrients they need to thrive.

Other big ingredients worth a shout-out include niacinamide (known for hydrating the skin) and rosemary oil (renowned for promoting hair growth).
But it’s not just hair growth men are after. The product is also built to strengthen existing hair which is important to prevent breakage and further hair loss.
Proudly natural, the product is also free from sulphates and parabens, chemicals known to cause irritation.
How to use the Caffeine+ Scalp Serum
- You need to start with a clean scalp so we recommend shampooing and conditioning your hair before applying the serum.
- Apply between five to 10 drops of the Caffeine+ Scalp Serum directly to your scalp.
- Gently massage the serum into your scalp using circular motions.
- Leave the serum to do its thing.
- Use daily for best results.
Does it work?
In a recent customer trial involving 116 respondents over a 30-day period, the Caffeine+ Scalp Serum proved to be effective. Participants reported a ‘noticeable reduction in hair fall’, minimal dandruff, less scalp irritation, and more volume.
Where can I buy it?
The Caffeine+ Scalp Serum is available from the Mancave website for £15, or you can subscribe and get 30% off – T&C’s apply.

A former porn star said she wanted to ‘put something out there’ when she appeared on a podcast and was asked about penis sizes.
If such a topic interests you, the average penis size in the world has grown by about 24 percent between 1992 and 2021.
Back in the early 90s the length of a man’s member was 12.19cm, whereas just a few years ago it had increased to 15.35cm, and this is talking about the erect length before you become worried that your flaccid flopper doesn’t measure up.
As for why this is happening, a doctor suggested that ‘evolutionary pressures’ may be the cause where men with bigger ding-a-lings might be having more children.
There’s been plenty of conversations about how long one’s love-length ought to be, and over how much the size of a person’s d**k ought to matter.

For some the fear that they don’t measure up is a source of anxiety and insecurity, though efforts to illuminate the public on what really counts as average are done in part with the hope of alleviating the ‘societal pressure’ that revolves around the penis.
In a recent appearance on TwinsPod, former porn star Elizabeth Spraggins, who went by the name Alura Jenson as a performer in the adult industry, was directly asked the ‘does size matter’ question by one of the hosts.
She said: “No. No it doesn’t.

She said it was more ‘about the man and his attitude’ than the size. (YouTube/Twins Pod)
“I’m just gonna put this out there as somebody who’s seen the entire spectrum of male anatomy, now that I’m walking in god’s grace I can say I’ve seen the entire spectrum of anatomy.
“If a woman knows what she’s doing with her own needs and her own anatomy she can make any size work.
“It’s about the man and his attitude making it enjoyable for the woman.”
One of the hosts quipped about the ‘motion of the ocean’ being what really mattered, leading Spraggins to say ‘people make fun and they make jokes about that but it’s absolutely true for me’.
When pressed by the podcast hosts on whether there was a particular size which was preferable, she said ‘one that doesn’t bust a woman’s back out but one that’s enough to feel’ and said that on the subject of size ‘somewhere in the middle is awesome’.
So there you have it gang, the average length of a penis is probably quite a bit shorter than you thought and bigger doesn’t mean better.

A former footballer who once drew comparisons to Cristiano Ronaldo ended up becoming an adult film star, and now he’s spoken out about his new career change.
Like Ronaldo, Fabio Paim started his career at the Sporting CP academy and ended up being tipped as a major prospect to watch.
However, like so many young footballers who gain fame and recognition very early on in their career, Paim never quite hit the heights people hoped he would.
He ended up pulling on a shirt for 19 different clubs in his career, including a brief stint at Chelsea in 2008 where he only played for the reserves, and turned out for Portugal at various youth team levels.
Sadly for Fabio he was unable to translate his promise into a career at the very top level of football, but he’s since found another occupation as he recently appeared in a porn film.

Paim seems to have wholeheartedly embraced his new job, and in a recent interview with Globo Esporte he spoke out on the impact changing careers has been having on his life.
He said: “Here in Portugal it’s all crazy, everyone is going crazy. Do you know why? Because people don’t take it the wrong way, that’s just how I am.
“On a podcast, I said that my dream was to be a porn actor. I got a lot of offers. I was on the news, I was on the front pages of newspapers and I hadn’t done anything.
“Since everyone was talking about it, let’s make a film. And I did. Dude, I’ll tell you one thing, it’s good to have sex and still get paid for it.”
The former footballer did say it would be untrue to say he’d lived a life without regrets, but he says he’s ‘happier now’.

As for those links with Ronaldo, Paim said in the interview that ‘everyone knows’ he was more talented, but admitted that ‘talent is just a little bit’.
In the past he admitted his talent gave him ‘the illusion I didn’t need the effort’, as he thinks he could have made it at Barcelona or Real Madrid if he’d really applied himself, but he never managed to get close.
The former footballer once said that if he’d worked as hard as Ronaldo he might have won one of the Portugal legend’s Ballon d’Or awards, a comment which prompted Ronaldo to respond: “Who is this guy?”

She is one of the most popular and successful adult stars working in pornography.
Now aged 33, Reid – whose real name is Ashley Matthews – has become one of the most recognisable faces in the adult industry, winning more than 40 awards since first starting out in 2010.
But as with any career, work can impact life at home, with that maybe more so in an industry as open as pornography.
Reid, who has 2.1 million followers over on Instagram, has ventured out in to other industries over the years, including running her own clothing line and launching an AI product. But it is her time in porn that has had an impact on her personal life.
Speaking in an emotional YouTube video, Reid opened up on how being an adult star has changed her life away from sets.
In the 2020 clip, Reid candidly says: “A lot of times when people ask me if they should do porn, I tell them no.
“I tell them that it makes life really hard, it makes dating really hard, it makes your family life really hard, it makes intimacy hard.
“If you’re putting yourself out there and the world is now judging you, you have to be okay with being shamed every day of your life.”

In the video, Reid goes on to say the negative side of the industry left her never wanting to start her own family due to how it could impact her.
“I don’t even want to have children because I do porn, because I’m worried [about] the way that people will treat my child,” she said.
She also revealed her career in porn soured her relationship with her own mother, saying she ‘doesn’t have a mum any more’.
Reid said: “When I started to set these boundaries, not giving her money or things like that – it made our relationship a bit more difficult and almost toxic and so it sucks.
“I don’t have a mum any more, I don’t talk to her, I miss having a mum. I feel like you can’t rewind and you can’t go back. I don’t have that relationship with her any more. I don’t ever think I will and that bums me out. It bums me out a lot.”

Since the comments, Reid has had a change of heart, having gotten married and having a daughter with her husband, free-running athlete Pasha Petkuns.
But it hasn’t stopped the trolls.
In one clip posted to social media, Reid says: “The amount of people who leave mean comments about my baby is crazy to me.
“Grow up. Stop being mean to a baby.”
Speaking to former adult star Adam22 for the No Jumper podcast, Reid revealed that she hates people calling her Riley in her personal life, with her husband Pasha calling her by her real name, Ashley.
After Adam22 accidentally calls her the wrong name on the episode, she says: “Stuff like that is the things that I think of because we are family friends right and so I’m like, ‘yo, Adam you can’t be calling me Riley’.
Especially, you know, I don’t want [Adam22’s son] Parker to grow up calling me Riley only now because I have a daughter right, and I want Parker and Emma [her daughter] to be friends.”
