Full House star Dave Coulier announces aggressive cancer diagnosis

Full House star Dave Coulier has announced he has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer.

The actor revealed his diagnosis of stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in an exclusive interview with People.

The 65-year-old stated he had been diagnosed three weeks ago: “It happened very quickly.”

Speaking with Hoda Kotb on the Today show, Dave said he had received three surgeries already and has begun chemotherapy: “I’ve lost a little bit of hair, I kind of look like a baby bird now.”

During the interview, he described his experience as “a rollercoaster” and confessed his type of Lymphoma, B-cell Lymphoma, is “very aggressive.”

Although the cancer is aggressive, Dave stated it has not spread to his bone marrow, making it “very treatable with a 90% of greater curability rate.”

Following his heartbreaking confession, Full House co-star John Stamos vowed to fully support his friend.

In the US sitcom, which ran for eight seasons from 1987 to 1995, John and Dave became well-known for their roles as the endearing Uncle Jesse and Uncle Joey, respectively.

The performers subsequently starred in the Netflix reboot Fuller House, which debuted in 2016 and ran for four years.

Hours after the news, John shared a series of photographs of the duo, documenting their friendship on Instagram.

“My brother from day one,” John captioned the post.

“Love you @dcoulier and I’ll be by your side through it all.”
