In our century, a stereotype has emerged that if there is a big age difference between a man and a woman, then they are together because of their financial situation or some other benefit. And almost no one thinks about the fact that they can really have feelings for each other.
Between the heroes of our article, Sofia and Mikhail, the age difference is 35 years. The couple in love does not pay attention to condemnation, discussions, sidelong glances of others, because their love is stronger than someone’s negative attitude. But most often, they are criticized for the fact that Sofia is older than Mikhail.
— Our first meeting took place when I was 17 years old. It happened at the birthday party of our mutual good friend. One look from her was enough for me to fall in love. Although I doubted very much that she would reciprocate. After all, such a unique woman would not even look in my direction, — the guy says.
— Our next meeting happened by chance. It was in a store. True, quite a lot of time had passed since our first meeting, about two years. Of course, we recognized each other, stopped to say hello, and then suddenly, out of nowhere, we had a lot of topics to discuss, — Sofia shares, with a smile on her face.
Neither the woman nor the young man were stopped by such a big age difference. They soon got married. Of course, the parents and friends of both lovers were against such a decision and tried to dissuade them as best they could, but the lovers did not listen to anyone and did it their own way.
It’s been 5 years since their wedding, but their love hasn’t faded. They are infinitely happy and enjoy every minute spent together.
