In a small village in China, a local animal shelter received a distressing call about a troubling situation involving a rickshaw driver and his dog.
An eyewitness reported the driver harshly dragging the dog by its neck, leaving the caller outraged by this act of cruelty.
The poor dog, weakened and unable to move properly, had sought refuge by crawling to a nearby entrance to warm up. However, it was heartlessly pushed back into the cold.
Responding swiftly, the shelter’s rescue team hurried to the scene, only to find the disturbing sight of the man yanking his dog’s neck.
Determined to save the animal, they negotiated with the driver and eventually secured the dog’s release for about $30.
The dog appeared to be underfed and quite thin, suggesting that it hadn’t been receiving proper nourishment from its owner.
