Looking back, the 39-year-old explained that her lowest point came around 2010, when she was working in a strip club and regularly surrounding herself with what she described as “awful” men.
She said those years were filled with reckless choices that worsened her struggles.
She said she couldn’t remember them all because many of the encounters blurred together, adding that she realized she didn’t even know who some of the people were.

She later joined Love and Sex Addicts Anonymous and eventually met her husband at a music festival in 2015. The two got married in 2022.
“I got increasingly worse, particularly in university, cheating on my boyfriends, sleeping with my boyfriends’ best friends…”

“Like any addiction, I was a compulsive liar, I would lie about anything.”
“I was so willing to just give my body up and not think about the dangers of that.”

She also said that for many people, addiction can be tied to deep, unresolved trauma.
She believes it can push someone toward unhealthy romantic patterns in the same way a drug addict seeks their next hit.
