For months, Riley Green has been dropping quiet hints that his next big move might take him off the concert stage and straight onto television. And this time, it’s not just speculation.
During a recent conversation about his whirlwind year and his partnership with HEYDUDE, Green finally confirmed what fans have been guessing: he has officially filmed his first acting role, marking the start of a brand-new chapter in his career.

Though he’s not yet allowed to reveal the title or full details, he did share enough to spark excitement:
“I probably need someone to tell me what I’m cleared to say… but I think I can say this much — I did some acting. It’s for a show. And it’s going to air pretty soon.”
Green says the transition from performing live to performing on camera felt surprisingly natural. With touring keeping his schedule packed, he barely had time to overthink it.

“It helped that I already knew some of the people on set. Everybody was great to work with, which isn’t a guarantee in film. Everything moved so fast that I didn’t even get nervous. Before I knew it, the scene was over and I thought, ‘Well… no one yelled, so I guess I did okay.’”
The biggest challenge wasn’t the acting — it was keeping up with the travel.
“I was still playing shows every weekend, so I’d fly out, film, fly right back, then repeat. That part was tough. But once the cameras were rolling, getting into character came pretty naturally.”

While fans wait for the official announcement of his on-screen debut, Green is staying plenty busy. His Cowboy As It Gets Tour is set for 2026, and he promises a refreshed live experience.
“We’re adding new production this time. There’s a B stage — something I’ve never done before — plus updated lighting and staging elements. But at its core, it’ll still look like my show. That duck-blind vibe is just who I am, and it’s where I’m most comfortable.”
An official tour schedule is available now, with dates across North America and more to come.
