North, the eldest child of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, has been leaning into fashion and self-expression in ways that mirror her famous parents. She has shared several bold and unusual looks in recent months, though not everyone has reacted positively.
Just weeks ago, North appeared on social media wearing diamond grills shaped like shark teeth, which some online speculated could be worth as much as $50,000.
What seemed less likely to be fake was a dermal piercing on her finger. Many viewers raised concerns about it, though the account that runs the Kim and North TikTok page responded by saying that “it’s okay.”
Now, North appears to have debuted another look, this time featuring a piercing on the bridge of her nose. She also showed blackened teeth, which are assumed to be another set of grills, along with blue bangs paired with her brightly colored hair.
According to a source who spoke to Radar Online in early December, Kanye’s wife Bianca Censori has been trying to ease tensions between the artist and his eldest child.
“Bianca’s been following the situation closely because she’s fond of North and wants to be there for her,” the source claimed. “She’s reassuring Kanye there’s nothing to worry about, the face tattoos are only fakes, and this is a simple case of a young kid expressing herself.”
While North’s finger piercing appeared to be real, the piercing on the bridge of her nose is believed to be fake. Stick-on dermal piercings are easy to find online and are commonly used for temporary looks.
There has also been speculation that North may have removed the finger piercing following the public backlash.
Dr. Donald Grant, a GP and Senior Clinical Advisor at The Independent Pharmacy, explained: “Dermal piercings, particularly those placed on the finger, carry risks that can easily be underestimated or attributed to more familiar concerns.”
He added that early signs of irritation or rejection can often be overlooked, with people assuming the issue is “nothing more than dry skin, a healing delay, or a minor knock to the area.”
