It looks like Bailey Zimmerman might be getting a little too relaxed on stage these days.

Over the weekend, the 24-year-old hitmaker took over Cook’s Garage in Lubbock, Texas, headlining a stop on his Religiously Tour. But the night took an unexpected turn when lightning moved into the area, forcing the show to be cut short for safety reasons.

Addressing the crowd, Bailey didn’t sugarcoat it.
“Safety is our number one thing around here. We really give a f**k about you guys and don’t want you to get hurt,” he said. “You guys can boo me.”

Fans definitely weren’t thrilled — plenty of begging and pleading followed — but Zimmerman explained that continuing simply wasn’t an option. So instead of walking off quietly, he decided to make the early ending… memorable.

In true Bailey fashion, he started peeling off his clothes, tossing his shirt and other gear into the crowd, and eventually wound up down to his underwear — a parting gift for fans who didn’t get the full set they paid for.

Was it unconventional? Absolutely. Did it soften the blow of a storm-shortened show? For some fans, probably. Either way, it’s a moment that’s already making the rounds online.
