Former model and actress Annabel Schofield has passed away at the age of 62 after a brave fight against brain cancer.
According to reports, the Welsh supermodel and actress, who gained international fame in the 1980s before moving into acting and film production, died on February 28 in Los Angeles.
Schofield began her career in London’s fashion industry, quickly becoming one of the iconic faces of 1980s fashion. The young model graced the covers of countless international magazines and starred in campaigns for renowned brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Versace, Rimmel, Revlon, and Boots No. 7.
One of her standout moments was in a commercial for Bugle Boy Jeans, where she drove through the desert in a black Ferrari and delivered her most famous line: “Excuse me, are those Bugle Boy jeans you’re wearing?”
Later, Schofield relocated to the U.S. and successfully transitioned into acting. She is perhaps most recognized for her role as Laurel Ellis on the hit primetime drama Dallas, where she appeared in 12 episodes during the show’s 11th season.
In July 2024, Schofield disclosed that she had cancer that had metastasized to her brain, and she remained transparent with her fans, sharing updates about her battle and treatments, including surgery in January to remove a nasal tumor.

On January 20, 2026, the actress who started as a model shared that although the surgery went well, she was still “not out of the woods yet” and was waiting for additional MRI results to find out if she would need more radiation or chemotherapy.
Schofield is survived solely by her mother, having lost her father and sister Amanda in the years leading up to her passing.
