Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made headlines worldwide when they announced their choice to step back from the Royal Family in 2020. In January of that year, the couple revealed the surprising news on social media, stating they were taking a “step back.”
“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution,” they expressed in a statement at the time. “We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work towards becoming financially independent, while still fully supporting Her Majesty The Queen.”

The source continued, “As a father and husband, Harry is committed to making sure that history doesn’t repeat itself.” Although not many images of Archie and Lilibet were shared publicly during their early years, Harry and Meghan have recently been more open about their children. Just this past Easter, Meghan posted photos and videos of their kids enjoying an Easter Egg Hunt.
In one video, Archie and Lilibet were seen each holding small baskets, clearly thrilled about the egg hunt. Lilibet donned a pink outfit complemented by cute bunny ears, and both children were seen laughing as they dashed around the family garden.
Fans have cherished the picture, with many feeling emotional ties to Princess Diana. The beloved princess, who tragically lost her life in a car accident in Paris in 1997, was celebrated for her relaxed and hands-on approach to parenting.
