Actor Julian McMahon, who rose to fame among female audiences for his role as the seductive demon Cole Turner in the hit series Charmed, has died at the age of 56 after a battle with cancer.
The sad news was officially confirmed by Deadline, along with a statement from his wife, Kelly McMahon:
“Julian loved life. He cherished his family, friends, his work, and his fans. His deepest wish was to bring joy to as many people as possible,” she shared.

In addition to Charmed, McMahon was also known for his roles in Ryan Murphy’s Nip/Tuck, Fantastic Four, Premonition, the series The Resident, and his final film, Surfer.

Throughout his life, Julian McMahon was married three times. His first wife was singer Dannii Minogue (sister of Kylie Minogue). He later had a daughter, Madison, with actress Brooke Burns. However, his longest and most enduring marriage was with Kelly McMahon, with whom he shared more than 20 years.

Sadly, another star of Charmed passed away last year — Shannen Doherty, who portrayed Prue Halliwell. She had fought a long and courageous battle with cancer as well.
