Man Claims Weight Loss Drug Mounjaro Led To An Unexpected ‘3-Inch’ Change After Shedding Pounds

A man has opened up about using a weight loss medication and noticing an unexpected change in one specific part of his body once the weight started coming off.

Mason Newman said he was prescribed Mounjaro, a medication commonly used to treat diabetes, which can also reduce appetite and is sometimes used alongside diet and exercise to support weight loss.

Mason explained that he lost 12 stone while taking the drug, and he said the changes he saw in his body went far beyond the number on the scale.

The 28-year-old said he dropped from an XXXL to a size S, and told The Sun that before starting a GLP-1 medication, he had tried almost every popular diet plan you can think of while trying to lose weight.

After going through all of that, he claimed Mounjaro finally helped him get results that stuck, but he also said something else happened that he didn’t expect at all.

According to Mason, the medication and weight loss journey also seemed to add three inches to his penis.

Considering the average penis size in the US is said to be around 5.1 inches, that would be a huge change if it happened in a direct way.

Mason said: “I tried the keto diet, water fasting. I tried juices. I tried eating nothing but two chicken breasts a day and nothing else. That lasted three weeks and was more of a mental challenge than anything. I couldn’t stick to them.”

So what could explain why he felt like his penis had “grown” after losing weight?

“The first thing I noticed was I grew three inches on my penis,” he said. “Because when the fat goes you actually do see more of yourself.”

In reality, it’s not that the body suddenly creates new length, but weight loss can mean more of the penis becomes visible if fat around the pubic area reduces.

Even so, Mason said he’s concerned about what could happen if he stops taking the medication and doesn’t have a solid routine in place to maintain his weight.

He said: “I put a stone back on, and the change in my mental health was crazy. I started getting anxiety and panic attacks again, so I went back on.”

“If I come off it without building healthy eating habits, I’d put all the weight back on. I’m stuck, but I suppose there are worse things to be stuck on.”

Dr. Stanton Honig is the Chief of Reproductive and Sexual Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, and he has spoken about how weight changes can affect how prominent the penis appears.

The doctor explained that losing body fat can make someone’s penis look more noticeable, but there may be other factors involved too, since GLP-1 drugs can support cardiovascular health, which may also help people dealing with erectile dysfunction.

Even with that said, Dr Honig noted that if someone experiences an unexplained change in sexual function, it’s best to speak with a medical professional so it can be checked properly.
