When Animal Aid Unlimited received an urgent call about a dog in need, they found him anxiously sprinting along the road with a wire deeply embedded in his neck.
This dangerous situation left him in tremendous pain, with the wire cutting down to his muscle.
Fearing he might escape and face even more peril, the rescue team carefully captured him using a net.
Once safely back at Animal Aid’s facility, veterinarians swiftly removed the wire and began administering critical care including antibiotics, painkillers, IV fluids, and wound dressings.
A veterinarian at the scene remarked, “We can’t fathom the excruciating pain he endured, likely for several weeks given the extent of his injuries.”
Despite this severe trauma, the dog’s determination to search for food and water was nothing short of remarkable.
Thankfully, they rescued this courageous dog just in time. Now named Sage, he is not only relieved of his agony but also has a renewed chance at life.
