Born in 1999 as the second of four siblings, Ella grew up in Hope Hull, Alabama, where her bold personality and love for performing showed up long before her powerhouse vocals ever reached Nashville.

Even as a toddler, Ella insisted on taking the microphone during church performances, and according to her family, she had the confidence of a headliner long before she ever stepped onto a real stage. Jason and Heather Have Been Married Since 1998

Jason and Heather married on April 18, 1998, and have celebrated over two decades of life together. Heather often shares anniversary photos and throwbacks, reflecting the steady and supportive partnership that formed the foundation of the Langley household. Their long-standing marriage is a central part of the grounded family environment Ella grew up in.

Ella Is One of Four Siblings

The family lived on a farm just outside Montgomery. Growing up between two brothers shaped Ella’s personality and eventually her music. She often describes herself as a tomboy who spent much of her childhood keeping up with — and trying to outdo — the boys.

Music ran deep on Jason’s side of the family. Ella’s paternal grandparents were musically gifted — her grandfather could play almost any instrument by ear, while her grandmother was also a singer. Family reunions often turned into singalongs, and Ella says these moments were some of her earliest memories of feeling drawn to music.

Her first guitar belonged to her grandfather. After he passed away, Jason restrung it and gifted it to Ella, who immediately began teaching herself how to play. That guitar is still one of her most personal possessions.
