One of Hollywood’s most beautiful love stories has come to an end almost as quickly as it began. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have officially split just shy of their second wedding anniversary. While their divorce is finalized, there’s still one lingering tie: their shared Beverly Hills mansion, which remains unsold.
The luxurious home was first listed in July of last year for $60.8 million, but the price has since dropped by $8 million. Even so, no buyer has stepped forward. Now, it’s been revealed that 52-year-old Affleck is willing to accept an even deeper discount—just to fully break free from any remaining connection with J.Lo.
“Ben and J.Lo have already knocked $8 million off the asking price, but to Ben, the money doesn’t matter,” a source shared. “He just wants the house sold so he can sever the final thread tying him to Jennifer.”
Affleck reportedly understands that Lopez will still be around, especially since her children from Marc Anthony are close friends with his kids from Jennifer Garner. He’s grateful to his former wife, now 55, but is eager to move on with his life.
“Ben knows J.Lo will always be part of his world because of their kids’ bond, but the house is the last physical symbol of their marriage,” the insider continued. “He hopes a buyer comes soon and isn’t concerned about the final price. His marriage and divorce have already cost him millions—what’s a few more? It’s a small price for peace of mind.”
Those close to the actor say he’s taking everything in stride and looking forward with optimism. “Ben is ready to grow and move on. He wants to live his life—which, overall, has been a good one. He’s had major successes and a few setbacks, but he accepts all of it with a sense of perspective.”
