Tributes have been pouring in to honour the life of 16-year-old Taylor Swift fan Mieka Pokarier, who was tragically killed in a car accident last week.

The teenager had been travelling to one of the country-pop hitmaker‘s Australian concerts in Melbourne on Thursday evening when her mother’s car head-on collided with a semi-trailer.

Mieka had been sitting in the front passenger seat in the accident and died at the scene.

According to 7 News, her 10-year-old sister Freya – who was sitting in the back – has remained at hospital in a critical condition since the incident after being induced into a coma, whilst their mother is being treated for minor injuries.

Local police later told press in a statement: “The driver of the SUV was treated by NSW (New South Wales) ambulance paramedics before being taken to Dubbo Hospital with minor injuries.

“The rear passenger, a 10-year-old girl, was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.”

The family were on their way to Taylor Swift‘s third night playing in Melbourne – as part of her Eras tour – following a stint in Japan.

According to Daily Mail Australia, the ‘Anti-Hero’ hitmaker has been informed of her fans’ passing, but is yet to address the heartbreaking incident.

Meika had been a die hard ‘Swiftie’, and had named her pet cat after the 34-year-old star.

“She’s been a Taylor Swift Fan for over 10 years, and she loved maths, she loved pottery, she was always making people things with pottery and going to classes,” her godmother Karleigh Fox later told 9News.

“She was very talented, she’s always been into creating loom bands and friendship bracelets.”

Since her death, Meika’s loved ones have set up a GoFundMe page in order to raise money to support her family through this dark time.

Karleigh wrote for the fundraiser’s bio: “Last night one of my dearest friends was driving from the Gold Coast to Melbourne with two of her children (my god children) when they were involved in a front on collision with a semi trailer.

“We are heartbroken to have lost one of her children (aged 16) whilst the 10 year old has been lifted to Westmead Hospital in critical condition, fighting for her life with brain injuries, a damaged pelvis and broken leg.”

It continues: “The family have all had to cease work to fly down and I’m trying to get a flight to support the Mum as she’s alone in Dubbo until we can get her to Sydney. Funds will be used to function in this challenging time.

“We are also seeking accommodation which is hard to find in Sydney at the moment due to the Swifty influx of anyone knows anything.”

Travis immediately chirped up, seemingly attempting to comfort the caller, but inadvertently giving listeners an insight into his own sex life.

The 35-year-old revealed that he’d never endured an encounter with a partner that wasn’t equally as passionate.

“I will personally mention that I have no idea what that’s [like],” Travis laughed, before going on to make some suggestions on how to spice things up between the sheets.

“Try role play one night, you know, see if she’s up for that,” the American Football star. “Go to Spencer’s novelty and sex-toy store and get some f**king sex stuff, man.

“Get some rose petals, try and be a little romantic. Maybe you just gotta rekindle that flame.”

Apparently, however – according to Radar Online – Tay-tay isn’t best pleased with her beau’s attempt at comforting his fans.

“Word is, she was appalled by his comments,” an insider told the outlet. “She was already tiring of his potty mouth, and now this.

“There’s no doubt it’s caused major strain in the relationship.

“It’s a terrible look for Taylor, whose brand is built on her being squeaky-clean and empowered.

“The feeling is that Taylor needs to take a look at this guy and ask herself, is he worth staining your reputation and losing your incredible fans over?”

Ever since Taylor Swift dropped her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, last month (19 April), Swifties have been sent into a proper frenzy.

The latest buzz surrounding the 34-year-old pop icon sees fans going absolutely wild after ‘spotting’ an allegedly x-rated detail on the singer during an Eras Tour concert.

Over the weekend (18 May), Taylor played a show at the Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, and fans are convinced from the crowd footage that she was sporting a hickey on her neck during the performance.

OK, before the rumour mill goes into overdrive, it’s important to not that the mark on the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer’s neck could easily be some smudged red lipstick, a burn from a curling iron or maybe a scratch rather than a very passionate-looking lovebite.

But, unsurprisingly, that’s not stopped Swifties rushing in to share their speculation across social media with many dead set the red mark was the doing of her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who she first started dating last summer.

Fans noticed the mark as Taylor sat at her piano belting out ballads from her Evermore era.

Then, while singing ‘Champagne Problems, the hit-maker moved her hair to one of her neck seemingly showing off the red mark.

Concertgoers are other fans alike were quick to share footage from the concert with one X, formerly Twitter, user writing: “Travis Kelce had big appetite. He gave Taylor swift something. A large hickey, holy, Travis misses her too much.”

Another person asked: “Flat iron burn or hickey and in her idgaf era?”

“‘So High School’ is getting a little too real,” penned a third, in reference to the song from the The Tortured Poets Department album.

A fourth Twitter user demanded: “NOW MISS TAYLOR ALISON SWIFT IS THAT A HICKEY ON YOUR NECK OR DID YOU ‘BURN YOURSELF WITH A HAIR STRAIGHTENER’ ???”

“I’ve been waiting for this,” piped up another.

Others, however, were sure to note that the red mark could instead be a ‘scratch from a costume change’, while others say it was ‘probably a burn’.

The whole hickey saga comes just a matter of days after Taylor’s romantic Italian getaway with the Kansas City Chiefs player.

Last week, the loved-up couple enjoyed a three-night stay at the $21,000-per-night Villa Sola Cabiati in the stunning vistas of Lake Como, Italy.

The pair also enjoyed a romantic boat ride as well as a fancy outdoor candlelit dinner at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo.

Amid her show on June 23, fans packed into the London venue erupted into cheers when they realised Swift’s 34-year-old boyfriend Travis Kelce had popped up for a surprise performance.

He appeared on stage during the Tortured Poets Department era interlude, taking place after ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived’.

Alongside dancers Kameron Saunders and Jan Ravnik, Kelce worked to ‘wake up’ the sleepy star in a moment inspired by silent movies of the past.

During the interlude, he tried talking and applying blush to the ‘Bad Blood’ hitmaker before she eventually launched into ‘I Can Do It With A Broken Heart’.

While the pair’s conversation on stage was inaudible, a lip reader believes they know exactly what was said during the iconic exchange.

Taking to Instagram, a user known as @tismejackie, claimed the Kansas City Chiefs tight end had told Swift to ‘wake up!’ as part of the act.

After pretending to faint on stage from exertion, the Pennsylvanian-born star responded: “I don’t want to!”

“You get back out there,” the lip reader claimed the sportsman said while ignoring Swift’s ongoing protests.

The playful back and forth continued before the Amsterdam actor finally ‘woke up’ and proceeded to strut down the runway.

The content creator also wrote in her post’s description that ‘lip reading is not a reliable form of communication’, adding: “All statements are alleged.”

Tyla has contacted Taylor and Travis’ reps for comment.

Kelce later confessed that he was the driving force behind his Eras Tour debut.

Taking to the popular New Heights podcast he shares with brother Jason Kelce, 36, the American football star said: “It’s very unlike me. I don’t love going on stages.

“I initially mentioned it to Tay but was like, ‘How funny would it be if I rolled out on one of the bikes for the 1989 era?’”

“She started laughing and was like, ‘Would you seriously be up for doing something like that?’”

He continued: “I was just like, ‘What? I would love to do that, are you kidding me?’ I’ve seen the show enough. Might as well put me to work here.”

Kelce added that he had a ‘blast’ working with Saunders and Ravnik as well as his girlfriend, before stating: “Who knows, might not be the last time!”

Swift’s European leg of the Eras Tour may have concluded, but the 14-time Grammy Award winner still has a multitude of dates left to fulfil.

She will return to the stage on 18 October, taking over Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium for three evenings (18, 19 and 20) before moving to New Orleans (October 25, 26 and 27) and Indianapolis.

After her three-night residency at the Lucas Oil Stadium (November 1, 2 and 3) she will complete live gigs in Toronto (14, 15, 16, 21, 22 and 23) before concluding with a trio of evenings in Vancouver (December 6, 7 and 8).
