Gamers can’t help but wonder when Rockstar Games will tell us more about GTA 6. However, the studio needs to first revisit this forgotten franchise.

It’s fair to say that GTA 6 is one of the most anticipated games of the decade. The lack of updates on the game from Rockstar Games has made the community lose their minds and come up with various wild theories that predict when we could see the next bits of information.

Considering the hype around GTA 6, one might believe that Grand Theft Auto is Rockstar’s most prized franchise. However, the studio has another dormant franchise which, if ever revisited, could completely wreak havoc for Forza and the Gran Turismo series.
Rockstar forget GTA 6 as gamers desperately need Midnight Club

Rockstar Games has quite a big catalog of games across multiple genres, with levels of polish that one can’t imagine in their wildest dreams. One of them is the Midnight Club racing series. The series was Rockstar’s attempt to lure in racing fans.
The Midnight Club stood as one of the first series that brought high-quality racing experience to home consoles, with the first entry, Midnight Club: Street Racing. The series helped usher in a whole new era of racing games as more developers jumped on board to craft more high-octane illegal street racing titles.
In 2003, we were treated with Midnight Club 2, which upped the level like any good sequel would do and brought in millions of players. Rockstar continued its efforts with the series and brought two more mainline entries and a handheld version for Midnight Club: Los Angeles.
After Midnight Club: Los Angeles, gamers expected to see more from the franchise, considering Rockstar’s constant efforts to push the boundaries. However, the studio decided to put brakes on the series and never brought another game.
Why is the Midnight Club franchise on an indefinite halt? Well, no one other than Rockstar knows for sure. Industry experts believe that the franchise wasn’t hitting the commercial success that the studio had hoped for.
However, now is the perfect time for a Midnight Club revival. The racing games genre isn’t doing that well, and even its biggest hitters, such as Forza and Gran Turismo, are struggling because of their lack of innovation.
A brand-new Midnight Club could help Rockstar become kings of the racing genre once again and even have another IP that could rival GTA 6.
GTA 6 might break records for Rockstar Games

We all know that past Grand Theft Auto titles have absolutely shattered sales records upon release. GTA 5 ended up becoming one of the highest-selling entertainment products in history. Industry experts believe that whenever GTA 6 drops, it will follow the same path.
Analysts from DFC Intelligence have made their own predictions on how the next GTA will perform upon launch, suggesting that the title might make $3.2 billion in the first 12 months.
According to reports by the Financial Times, DFC Intelligence analysts think that GTA 6 has the potential to pull in $1 billion in pre-orders alone.
If GTA 6 manages to hit these numbers, it will achieve financial success as a top blockbuster film. The game’s release will be the biggest entertainment launch in history, not just in the gaming sphere but all of the media.
