Many people fail to understand that dogs are living beings, too. They are not just objects that we use and then return or discard when we no longer need them. Sadly, this is exactly the philosophy that many heartless breeders live by.
They treat dogs as breeding machines, producing puppies that they sell at high prices. Once the dogs are finished ‘producing,’ the breeders abandon them, often in a disrespectful manner.
They typically dump these animals on the streets, in landfills, or in other inhumane locations, completely detached from the potential consequences for these poor creatures.
One such case recently occurred in Compton, California. Fortunately, the rescuers were notified just in time.
She Was Hiding In Bushes
Suzette Hall, the founder of Logan’s Legacy, from Irvine, California, received the most distressing call. Her colleague, Arturo, notified her about the dog cruelly abandoned on a busy street by her owner.
After arriving at the spot, the two realized she was a nursing mom, only her puppies were nowhere to be found. This led Hall and Arturo to believe that the dog had been used for breeding purposes and then dumped by the breeder.

She would stick her head out of the bushes,” Hall wrote in a Facebook post.
Instead of nursing, the pup was now hiding in the bushes. She was absolutely terrified of everything and everyone, so the best she could do was hide and wait for some kindness.
Fortunately, Hall had plenty in store!
She addressed the mom dog in a gentle manner, hoping to not scare her away.
She and Arturo spent some time near her, making sure that the pup didn’t get hurt by the passing cars. She already had an injured leg, and was only several feet away from danger.
On a positive note, the two didn’t have to wait long.
Finally Safe
Suzette knew she had to take the dog to safety as soon as possible. She slowly set a humane trap filled with delicious dog food next to the bushes and waited.
Then, it happened! After only a few minutes, the pup eagerly entered the trap, indicating how hungry she was. She didn’t hesitate at all!
“Arturo and I set my trap, and she was so hungry she didn’t hesitate one bit. She literally walked straight into it,” Hall wrote.
After the heartbreaking events she had to face in the recent past, the dog was finally safe! She was safely transported to the pet hospital for further treatment by Hall and the team. After she gets a clean bill of health, this lovely momma will be looking for a new chance.
“A beautiful lab, a beautiful girl was forever safe. We think her leg is broken but her spirit will be healed in no time,” Hall concluded.
Hopefully, this time, it will be her owners who will love her with all their hearts! She deserves nothing less!
