Deaf Dog Stung by Thousands of Bees Abandoned by Family, But Love Saved Him

After enduring the unimaginable, a deaf Pit Bull found himself fighting for his life. Stung by thousands of bees, his body was covered in painful, blistering welts.

But the worst blow came next—his family abandoned him at a shelter, unwilling to care for him in his time of need.

The dog, later named Stinger by his rescuers, arrived at the shelter in critical condition. The blisters from the bee stings were severe, and his chances of survival looked slim.

The shelter, overwhelmed by the extent of his injuries, had no resources to help him and made the heartbreaking decision to consider euthanasia.

That’s when Carri Shipaila, founder of LuvnPupz rescue in Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan, stepped in. The moment she heard about Stinger, she got in her car and drove nearly an hour to reach him.

She knew she couldn’t let his story end there.

Stinger’s family refused to take him back, leaving Carri and her team as his only lifeline. Without wasting a moment, they began treating his wounds. His recovery wasn’t easy.
