Age catches up with all of us and at times, it doesn’t do us any favors. It seems as if this also has affected Hulk Hogan, as his latest TV appearance has people talking.
Many people came online to express their concern and confusion after Hogan showed up on the TV show recently. There were also plenty of jokes that were circulating because of his ‘new’ look.
Part of the reason why he was being criticized is because of his black beard. It would not have been much of an issue if it hadn’t been for his bleach-blonde mustache. It had many people joking.
One person joked that Hogan should clean the soot off of his face. Others were simply wondering if it was actually Hulk Hogan or not.
Even though some have considered this to be a ‘new’ look for the former professional wrestler, others are not quite so kind in their description. They are referring to it as dramatic or even horrifying.
He did have a black beard from 1996 until 1998 and early in the 2000s. He also had his white mustache during that time, playing the part of ‘Hollywood Hulk Hogan’. It was an evil persona that he adopted in the WCW.
Perhaps you can remember when he betrayed Macho Man Randy Savage and joined the bad guys. They helped him to launch the infamous New World Order (nWo). They also launched a very successful time in pro wrestling history.
Some are concerned because Hogan has been experiencing some issues in his personal life and they feel that the unusual look was not appropriate. Recently, his ex-wife, Linda, gave an interview and spoke about the estranged relationship they had with their daughter, Brooke.
Linda said that Brooke had not spoken to either of them in almost 8 years, despite the fact that she had been married with twins since that time.
She said: “Hulk Hogan, my ex, has been really distraught and saddened by her distance, just as I and her brother Nick have as well.” She also admitted that he was not a very good husband at times.
Linda also said that he was a good father, saying that he ‘always supported the family with everything they ever wanted’. She also said that he had probably spent more than $3 million on their daughter’s career.
Brooke opened up about this on Instagram on March 27. She said that there was a history of ‘verbal and mental’ abuse from both of her parents. As a result, she felt it necessary to distance herself from the family.
She wrote: “I try very hard to ignore issues surrounding my family, in hopes I might have peace in my life.
“Sadly, I’ve intentionally made myself smaller in my professional career in music and TV; simply to dodge the public negativity surrounding my family that has continuously and relentlessly overshadowed anything I do.
“If it were just me, I would continue to take the hits and shrink even smaller to avoid the dangers of speaking publicly. But I have my own family now and it’s affecting more than just me at this point.
“No contact with my Mom has nothing to do with my Dad, and no contact with my Father has nothing to do with my Mother. I have been EXTREMELY verbally and mentally abused since childhood. Sadly, it would frequently turn physical.”
