The world’s first successful penis transplant resulted in a baby just six months later

In 2014, South African surgeons at Stellenbosch University and Tygerberg Hospital performed the world’s first successful penis transplant on a 21-year-old man who had lost his organ during a traditional circumcision.

Remarkably, he regained full urinary and sexual function within three months and just six months later became a father, marking a groundbreaking milestone in medical history.
