This could change everything.

Nearly three decades after six-year-old JonBenét Ramsey’s tragic death, her father, John Ramsey, has reignited debate over the infamous cold case. In a recent interview, he suggested his daughter’s 1996 murder may be linked to another chilling attack in Boulder, Colorado—just nine months later.

According to John, the case of a 12-year-old girl assaulted by a masked intruder bears striking similarities to JonBenét’s. The two victims lived near each other, attended the same dance studio, and moved in overlapping social circles. “To me, it could easily have been the same person,” John said, frustrated that investigators at the time dismissed the possibility.

JonBenét’s death shocked the nation. Found in her family’s basement on December 26, 1996, she had been brutally beaten and strangled. A cryptic ransom note fueled suspicion, and police attention quickly turned toward the Ramseys. Despite denying involvement, the family faced years of intense scrutiny, while the case remained unsolved.

John now argues that critical leads were overlooked, including the second Boulder assault. He is calling for evidence to be reexamined with today’s advanced DNA technology, which wasn’t available in the 1990s. “We now have tools that can reveal answers,” he said, urging police transparency and cooperation with independent experts.

For John, the fight is both personal and universal. He believes finding the truth could bring closure not only for his family, but also for others impacted by similar crimes. “JonBenét deserves justice,” he said. “It’s time to look forward instead of backward.”
