Wheel of Fortune Contestants and Fans Stunned by Bizarre Toss-Up Puzzle
Wheel of Fortune fans were left scratching their heads during the February 25 episode when the game opened with a confusing Toss-Up puzzle. The category was “Occupation,” and contestant Paulomi Dholakia from Orlando hesitantly guessed, “Chief Happiness Officer?” To everyone’s surprise, host Ryan Seacrest confirmed it as correct, joking, “I wasn’t aware that was a thing either, but every company should have one.”
The unusual answer quickly went viral, sparking debate among viewers. One fan on Reddit wrote, “Wtf is that?!? Lol.” Another added, “If they’re going to use an occupation, it should be legit. Stupidest puzzle ever.”
Despite the odd start, Dholakia impressed with her skills, racking up $21,750 by the end. However, fellow contestant Celina Alvarado surged ahead after solving “Life’s Simple Pleasures” and winning a trip to Costa Rica, finishing with $30,350. J. Mark Smith closed with $7,100.
While Dholakia’s streak wasn’t enough to take the lead, Seacrest reminded her that walking away with over $20,000 was “more than okay.” Fans, however, are still debating whether Chief Happiness Officer should ever count as a real job title.
