One day, I noticed that my neighbor, who had always been a bit eccentric, didn’t throw away his old sink like anyone else would have.
On the contrary, he started doing something with it. This caught my attention. I had always known he had a knack for creative projects, but this time, I was genuinely curious about what he was up to. I decided to get closer and figure out what was going on.
When I approached his yard, I saw him carefully laying bricks, and on top, he placed the old sink. At first, I thought he was just setting it up for some practical use, but the more I watched, the less I understood what he was planning.
Noticing me, my neighbor smiled and invited me to take a look. He explained that he was planning to build a barbecue.
He continued working, and soon I realized he was actually building a proper barbecue! He placed a grill on top, ensuring the meat would cook perfectly.
After a while, the barbecue was ready. We lit the fire, and soon the smell of freshly cooked kebabs filled the air.
However, it’s worth mentioning that the metal of the sink wasn’t very thick, and, as I noticed, it quickly started to burn through. But still, for a few casual get-togethers with friends or a quick dinner, it was more than enough.
Next time I have old equipment or appliances, I’ll definitely know: before throwing it out, I should think twice – maybe I can turn it into something interesting!
