“American Pickers” star Mike Wolfe has endured a series of personal hardships in recent years, and his latest ordeal is perhaps one of the scariest yet. After losing his longtime friend Frank Fritz and closing his beloved Nashville antique shop, Wolfe is now recovering from a serious car accident alongside his girlfriend, Leticia Cline.
The crash occurred in Columbia, Tennessee, leaving Wolfe’s vintage blue car badly damaged. The 61-year-old TV personality shared the frightening news with fans on Instagram, writing: *“By the grace of God, we’re both safe and okay. We are both receiving excellent care and while Leticia is still in the hospital, she is expected to make a full recovery.”*
Cline later revealed the extent of her injuries, including a broken jaw in multiple places, broken ribs, a collapsed lung, and spinal swelling. She explained that her jaw would need to be wired shut but expressed gratitude that she survived: *“I still got my brain and that’s all that matters.”*
Despite the trauma, Wolfe reassured supporters that there was “light at the end of the tunnel.” He also thanked fans for their prayers, asking for privacy during the recovery process.
This accident comes during a transitional period in Wolfe’s life. Earlier this year, he announced the closure of his Nashville shop, Antique Archaeology, after 15 years. He reflected on the decision as a chance to slow down and return to his roots in Iowa, while expressing deep gratitude to the community and fans who made the store so special.
The past year also brought profound personal loss. Wolfe’s lifelong friend and co-star, Frank Fritz, passed away in 2024 from complications after a stroke. Wolfe was by his side during his final moments, later describing the experience with heartbreaking detail.
Now, in the wake of this accident, Wolfe and Cline are facing another difficult chapter. Yet, with their resilience and the outpouring of support from fans, they remain hopeful for recovery.
Our best wishes go out to Mike Wolfe and Leticia Cline as they continue to heal and move forward from this terrifying experience.
