Suspect’s Roommate Allegedly ‘Hates Conservatives

The transgender roommate of the man accused of killing Tyler Robinson’s associate reportedly “hates conservatives,” a relative told Fox News Digital. The 22-year-old, who has not been charged, is in the process of transitioning from male to female and was in a relationship with Robinson.

According to the relative, the roommate has become “radicalized” over the years and “always very angry.” The influence of the roommate on Robinson’s views is believed to have intensified during their year-long relationship. “I think Tyler got a whole lot worse in the year they have been dating.

They are big gamers, and they have groups that influence them, but my gut tells me [the roommate] did more of the influencing,” the relative said. Authorities say Robinson confessed to the killing in a text exchange with his partner just hours after the alleged attack. Less than three hours after the incident, Robinson allegedly instructed the roommate to check under his keyboard, where a note indicated he had “the opportunity to take out” the victim.

Robinson has been charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious injury, and obstruction of justice, among other counts. Prosecutors say the roommate, identified as Lance Twiggs, was cooperative and claimed he had no knowledge of Robinson’s plans. If convicted, Robinson could face the death penalty, possibly via firing squad under Utah law. Authorities have described him as having been “radicalized” online in recent years, adopting leftist ideology. Twiggs has not been charged and continues to cooperate with investigators.
