Renowned rodeo cowboy Spencer Wright and his wife Kallie are mourning the heartbreaking loss of their 3-year-old son, Levi. Levi was playing near the family’s home when he accidentally drove his toy tractor into a river. He was found unconscious about a mile downstream and rushed to a Salt Lake City hospital with severe brain injuries.
At first, doctors feared he would not survive, but Levi showed brief signs of awareness. Kallie shared her hope online, writing, “LEVI AWARENESS!…My child is really tough!” Sadly, follow-up MRI results were grim. “What Levi does in the coming days will really tell us everything,” she wrote.
For nearly two weeks, family and friends prayed as specialists ran tests and consulted top neurologists. On June 2, Kallie announced their devastating decision: Levi would be removed from life support. “He showed us enough to buy us time,” she wrote, adding that their son had given them strength to let him go.
Family friend Mindy Sue Clark later confirmed Levi’s passing. “The last two weeks have been so hard,” she wrote. “But I want to talk about the miracles we saw…The most amazing three-year-old I’ve ever met.” Loved ones say Levi’s short life brought light to countless people. Our thoughts are with the Wright family during this tragic time.
