Jelly Roll Takes Australia by Storm
Jelly Roll is taking his music — and his big personality — overseas. The country star is currently touring across Australia and New Zealand, bringing his signature blend of raw emotion, humor, and heart to fans Down Under.
On August 7, Jelly announced the seven-date run, writing on social media:
“AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE! Nashville is on the way baby. Pre-sale is on now. I’m coming for the Quokkas LFG.”
The tour features openers Shaboozey and Drew Baldridge, plus plenty of behind-the-scenes content from Jelly himself — giving fans a glimpse into both his shows and his adventures abroad.
Meeting a Quokka Named Loretta Lynn
In true Jelly Roll fashion, he’s made time to experience the joys of Australia between shows — including meeting the country’s most famous animal, the quokka.
A quokka is a small marsupial known for its permanent, cheerful smile, and Jelly couldn’t contain his excitement when he got to bottle-feed a baby one.
“Dude, this is crazy, oh my God,” he said in a video, cradling the tiny creature. “I am fixing to faint. This might be the greatest day of my whole life.”
He even got to name the quokka, deciding after FaceTiming his wife Bunnie XO to call it Loretta Lynn, after the late country music legend.
A Shopping Trip Gone Wrong
Jelly Roll’s tour hasn’t been without its bumps — especially during a recent shopping trip in Sydney.
After losing over 200 pounds and dropping below 300 pounds for the first time since middle school, Jelly had proudly shared that he could finally fit into designer clothes, joking, “I can fit in Louis Vuitton now. Pray for my bank account.”
Unfortunately, his first trip to a Louis Vuitton store in Australia didn’t go as expected.
In a candid video posted to his Instagram Stories, Jelly said he felt profiled and treated like a criminal while shopping. Standing outside the store, he shared:
“Hey man, the Louis Vuitton in Sydney legitimately just treated us like we were finna come in and rob that place. I have never been looked at more like a crim… Listen, the last time I was looked at like a criminal this bad — I was an actual criminal this bad.”
Still Spreading Positivity
Despite the incident, Jelly Roll continues to connect with fans and make the most of his trip abroad. His journey — from performing in Vatican City and meeting the Pope, to now touring across Australia — reflects the incredible transformation of a man who once couldn’t shop in designer stores, and now fills arenas worldwide.
Through it all, Jelly stays true to who he is — humble, funny, and unapologetically real — proving that no matter where he goes, his heart remains pure country.
