The 67th Annual Grammy Awards took place at Crypto.com Arena on February 2, 2025, with all prominent music industry figures in attendance. Shakira
Latin pop sensation Shakira celebrated her 48th birthday by winning and performing at the award night. The singer won the award for Best Latin Pop Album for her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran album. She dedicated the award to her “immigrant brothers and sisters in this country,” stating that they are “loved and worthy.” She also thanked her kids, Milan and Sasha, who were present in the audience.
Shakira was introduced by Gloria Estefan as “the one and only, the incomparable Shakira,” and the singer was performing at the Grammys after almost two decades. She began her performance with a solo belly dance of her 1998 hit Ojos Así.
The singer was then joined by her dancers, and they later performed her song Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53. Rocking the stage in her all-golden attire, Shakira reminded everyone why she is considered one of the most dynamic performers ever.
Billie Eilish and Finneas
The brother-sister duo of Finneas and Billie Eilish gave a tribute to their hometown Los Angeles with their performance of the song Birds of a Feather from Eilish’s latest album, Hit Me Hard and Soft.
Their performance was on high emotions as it featured their childhood photographs and also the visual backdrop of LA foothills and canyons where they grew up. Their personal touch added more significance to the recent LA wildfires.
Although Billie Eilish couldn’t win a Grammy this year, she earned seven nominations, which is also among the highest of the night. The stripped-down arrangement of her performance reminded everyone why she is considered one of the best vocalists of today’s generation.
Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga
Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga won the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their song Die With a Smile. Their win was quite significant as their fellow nominees included big names like Beyoncé, Post Malone, Taylor Swift, and Billie Eilish. Mars and Gaga gave one of the most powerful performances of the night with their cover of California Dreamin’.
The performance was also dedicated to LA wildfires, and the lyrics of the song, like “All the leaves are brown… and the sky is gray,” had a whole new meaning in its context. Their vocally dominated performance was backed by a montage of the destruction caused by the fires.
Sabrina Carpenter
2024 has been a year for Sabrina Carpenter, and so was the 67th Grammy Awards night. She earned six nominations, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year, and won the award for Best Pop Vocal Album for Short ‘n Sweet.

The rising music sensation Chappell Roan won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. The artist performed a medley of her hit songs Catfish and Denial is a River. Doechii delivered a cinematic performance that involved heavy choreography with quick changes on stage.
