She dedicated the award to her “immigrant brothers and sisters in this country,” stating that they are “loved and worthy.” She also thanked her kids, Milan and Sasha, who were present in the audience.

Shakira was introduced by Gloria Estefan as “the one and only, the incomparable Shakira,” and the singer was performing at the Grammys after almost two decades. She began her performance with a solo belly dance of her 1998 hit Ojos Así.

The brother-sister duo of Finneas and Billie Eilish gave a tribute to their hometown Los Angeles with their performance of the song Birds of a Feather from Eilish’s latest album, Hit Me Hard and Soft.

Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga won the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their song Die With a Smile. Their win was quite significant as their fellow nominees included big names like Beyoncé, Post Malone, Taylor Swift, and Billie Eilish. Mars and Gaga gave one of the most powerful performances of the night with their cover of California Dreamin’.

The performance was also dedicated to LA wildfires, and the lyrics of the song, like “All the leaves are brown… and the sky is gray,” had a whole new meaning in its context. Their vocally dominated performance was backed by a montage of the destruction caused by the fires.

The artist performed a medley of her hit songs Catfish and Denial is a River. Doechii delivered a cinematic performance that involved heavy choreography with quick changes on stage. She even acknowledged her performance as “one of the most difficult” she has ever done, as she wanted to show her love for “Broadway and theater and art” on the stage.
