On February 17, 2023, howlofpet received a call about a puppy in dire condition. Natasha, a volunteer from the organization, responded to the call and found the young dog extremely dehydrated and barely able to move.
It seemed that the puppy, later named Sunny, had been abandoned and left to fend for himself on the streets. Natasha quickly took him to the veterinarian, where he received the necessary medical care.
Fortunately, the vet determined that Sunny was not suffering from serious illnesses such as parvovirus or distemper. However, he needed a few days of saline treatment to help him recover his strength.
After just one day, Sunny showed signs of improvement. Remarkably, he maintained a healthy appetite and could eat without assistance. This was an encouraging sign of his recovery.
As time went on, Sunny started to put on weight and regained his ability to walk. Natasha described the bond that formed between them, saying,
“Sunny started to follow me around like I’m his mother… It feels like it was meant to be that Sunny is now a part of our lives.”
