Once kept in harsh conditions by her previous owners, Merica, a dog living in Texas, has found a new beginning. Her life was one of neglect, as she was left chained outside without care.
Her owners, dissatisfied with the loss of her previous litters, deemed Merica unworthy of keeping.
Heavily pregnant and in labor, Merica was left to endure the pouring rain alone while her owner stayed inside, reportedly amused by the situation.
Fortunately, a rescue group called H4M Sanctuary Dogs came to her aid just in time, bringing her to safety.
Shortly after arriving at the shelter, Merica gave birth to a litter of puppies. In contrast to her owner’s dismissive remarks, she proved to be a devoted and gentle mother, attentively caring for her newborns.
Merica welcomed ten puppies into the world—eight boys and two girls. Each one was healthy and thriving, a testament to her nurturing nature.
A month has passed since their rescue, and Merica’s puppies are now strong and full of life. They are set to embark on their next adventure with a group called Dawgs Fight Back, where they are sure to enjoy a promising future.
