A new update from the 35-year-old reality TV personality is drawing public attention, marking a significant moment in her personal life.
Jana Duggar is stepping into motherhood! The former “Counting On” star announced on Instagram on August 17, 2025, that she and her husband, Stephen Wissmann, are expecting their first child.
“We are so excited, January 2026 is going to come with a little bundle of joy joining our family! We’re counting down the days and eagerly looking forward to this thrilling new chapter in our lives!” Duggar shared.
The announcement comes a year after the couple’s wedding. Duggar married Wissmann in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, on August 15, 2024, in what was described as a “classic, elegant” ceremony.
The pair, who had become engaged two months earlier on June 15, exchanged traditional vows at The Grand at Willow Springs before 500 guests.
Now, with a baby on the way, the couple’s announcement quickly drew warm reactions from followers. “Omg what!! I am so happy for you both very excited for you. 🥰🙏,” gushed one supporter.
A second chimed in, “Yay!!! Praying for your little family!” A third stated, “A new little Husker!!!! Congratulations!! Prayers for a healthy pregnancy and baby!!”
Another added, “So happy for you! Wishing you a safe and happy pregnancy. You got this! You feel like family… just so many others do. I feel like proud grandma.” Someone else declared, “You will be the most incredible mother ever!!!!”
Some followers also reacted with surprise at Duggar’s baby bump. “She looks to be at 4 1/2 months to 5 months crazy she started showing already I didn’t till I was 5 1/2 months,” a different commenter said.
Another observed, “Twins? You seem large for only 3-4 months along🥰 So happy for you both.” Another exclaimed, “It’s gotta be twins!”
The announcement featured a set of serene maternity photos, taken by her sister-in-law, showing the couple embracing and highlighting Duggar’s baby bump in a natural outdoor setting.
