Ex-Cop Takes New Plea Deal To Avoid Jail After Allegedly Groping OnlyFans Model During Staged Traffic Stop

A former police officer who is accused of groping the breast of an OnlyFans performer during a staged traffic stop has now entered a fresh plea in court.

The case, which has drawn plenty of attention because of the unusual circumstances, continues to unfold.

Sean Herman was arrested and later fired from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) after he was allegedly spotted in an OnlyFans skit that surfaced last year.

His involvement in the video ended up costing him his career with the force.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the footage shows Herman reaching over and ‘groped the exposed breast of the female driver’ during the scene.

The department took the allegation seriously given that he was in uniform at the time.

The video is believed to have been shot in the parking lot of a warehouse in the Madison neighborhood of Nashville.

Police later confirmed that neither the woman who appeared in the clip nor the person behind the camera were connected in any way to the department.

Before all of this came to light, Herman had worked with the MNPD for three years. His career came to a halt once investigators identified him in the video.

The clip was uploaded to the adult platform on April 26, 2024. Although his face was never visible, officers reviewing the footage said they noticed the MNPD badge on his shirt, which gave away his identity as he leaned across to grope the OnlyFans model’s chest.

The model is also seen in the video reaching over and touching the officer’s crotch, which made the skit even more explicit.

When Herman appeared in a Nashville criminal courtroom on Thursday (August 14), the 35-year-old chose to plead no contest to the felony official misconduct charge. This type of plea means he did not fight the charge in court.

Because of the plea deal, the former Tennessee officer was sentenced to one year of supervised probation. On top of that, the judge allowed judicial diversion, which means his record will be wiped clean if he successfully completes the probation period. This gave him the chance to avoid serving time behind bars.

It is worth clarifying that Herman’s no contest plea does not mean he admitted guilt. Instead, it means he chose to waive his right to a trial and allowed the court to treat him as though he were guilty only for the purpose of sentencing.

“Specialized Investigations Division detectives today arrested former Nashville police officer Sean Herman at his Sumner County home on two counts of felony official misconduct for taking part in the production of an adult video while on duty,” a police statement issued at the time of his arrest explained.

The statement continued: “Chief John Drake fired Herman, 33, on May 9, one day after Specialized Investigations Division detectives discovered the video and identified him as the person in an MNPD uniform.”

According to investigators, Herman was only visible from the chest down in the recording, which showed him participating in the staged traffic stop for the adult video.

When Herman was taken into custody, the judge overseeing the case set his bond at $3,000, allowing him to be released while awaiting further proceedings.
