Mike Wolfe, the 60-year-old star of American Pickers, and his girlfriend, Leticia Cline, are recovering after being seriously injured in a car accident over the weekend.
Both Wolfe and Cline shared photos on their Instagram Stories on Saturday, Sept. 13, revealing the aftermath of the crash, which involved a head-on collision while they were riding in a vintage blue car.
Cline, a former model and journalist, disclosed the extent of her injuries in a candid update, writing that she suffered “a broken jaw (in a few places), broken ribs, sternum, collapsed lung, and a lot of swelling on my spine.” She also noted that her “mouth will be wired shut” as part of her ongoing recovery.
Wolfe, who has since been discharged from the hospital, did not elaborate on his own injuries but expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from fans.
On Sunday, Sept. 14, Cline offered another glimpse into her recovery, posting photos from her hospital room. One image showed her carefully walking in a hospital gown while connected to an IV drip of ketamine to manage the pain. Others showed her in a neck brace, underscoring the severity of her injuries.
Through it all, she emphasized Wolfe’s unwavering support. Although the American Pickers star has been released from the hospital, she noted that he has remained “right by my side” throughout her recovery.
Wolfe and Cline, who have been together since 2021, initially kept their romance quiet. But over time, they’ve shared more of their life together publicly, often highlighting their shared love of travel, music, and adventure.
Last year, on Wolfe’s 60th birthday, Cline paid tribute to him with a heartfelt Instagram post. Calling him “my greatest adventure and the home my heart will always seek,” she praised his outlook on life.
“If we measured the sunsets, trips we’ve taken, concerts we’ve seen, people’s lives we’ve touched, animals we’ve helped, things we’ve loved then you’d be older than reality could comprehend,” she wrote. “A life well lived is not measured in years, but instead by how many people measure their lives by yours — and you have such a beautiful life that overflows with it.”
Cline ended her touching birthday message with a simple declaration: “I’m just happy I get a front seat for it all. Love you babe. Happiest of birthdays.”
Wolfe, who has been a familiar face on the History Channel for more than a decade, was previously married to Jodi Catherine Wolfe. The couple wed in 2012 and separated in 2020 before finalizing their divorce the following year.
He shares a 13-year-old daughter, Charlie, with his ex-wife — a relationship he has often described as his most important role outside of television.
