Richard Sherman arrest video (Photo via Twitter)Just weeks after the Super Bowl in 2024, former NFL star cornerback Richard Sherman was arrested in Washington state for driving under the influence.
FOX 13 in Seattle reported at the time that he was booked into the King County Jail. He was pulled over in Washington after driving at 79 mp/h in a 60 mp/h zone, while admitting to having a few drinks while speaking to the arresting officers.
Fast-forward to over a year later, and Sherman now has to relive that arrest after TMZ Sports obtained the footage from that night.
In the video, Richard Sherman becomes increasingly agitated with officers after he is caught speeding and swerving in his Tesla.
While handcuffed, the video shows cops speaking with him as he allegedly admits to having “two margaritas” before getting behind the wheel. Cops have seen this story before, as someone who drinks will often give a much lower number of drinks than they actually had.
TMZ says one officer could be heard telling another one, “Did you see who it was? Richard Sherman from the Seahawks. I’ll let you take it.”
After Sherman was administered several field sobriety tests, he was then escorted back to the squad car in handcuffs.

Richard Sherman has been arrested before. In 2021, a home surveillance video showed just how angry he could get as he confronted his in-laws.
It shed more light on an incident that resulted in his jailing and charging with a litany of misdemeanors.
The video shows Sherman attempting to open the locked door, profanely demanding his father-in-law, Raymond Moss, come out of the house. Once that didn’t happen, he tried to break down the house with his arms and shoulders.
Other people inside could be heard screaming while that was going on.
What he did not know at the time was that his father-in-law was said to have had a gun in his possession.
He faced five charges — criminal trespass in the second degree, malicious mischief in the third degree, resisting arrest, driving while under the influence, and reckless endangerment of roadway workers.
