Jenna Ortega has been brutally slammed online after she snapped at a fan on the red carpet… having previously been branded as ‘toxic’ and ‘entitled’ due to her brazen comments.
The actress, 22, attended the Wednesday season two premiere in London earlier this week, when she had a tense moment with an over-excited supporter.
As she was signing autographs for fans at the event, Jenna became outraged when one person screamed her name really loudly.
‘Please don’t do that,’ a clearly unamused Jenna told the fan as she gestured dramatically with her hands.
The awkward interaction was caught on camera and shared to X, formerly Twitter, where it went viral, gaining more than 1.8 million views.
‘Oh she’s p**sed off and rightfully so, screaming in her face like that is so unnecessary,’ the caption of the post read.
And while some defended the Scream star and agreed that she was right to tell the fan to stop, others were quick to criticize her for her reaction.
‘Damn… Jenna let the fame get to her head I’m not rocking with this, be respectful to your fans,’ one person replied.

‘It’s a little kid WTF, damn she’s unlikeable,’ another added.
‘As much as I respect the fact that you shouldn’t be screaming in ANYONE’S face… What does homegirl expect…?’ asked someone else.
‘Her fans are mostly made up of young girls ages like 12 to 18. They’re gonna be a little socially inept and very excited to see you… which may make them scream…’
‘Ew Jenna. Don’t be famous if you can’t handle fans… Chill. You’re not Justin Bieber famous enough to be annoyed just yet,’ read a fourth comment.
A fifth said, ‘This is sad. It’s not that serious nor she is in any danger. She is “on the clock” as a celebrity doing press and should learn how to manage the frustration more professionally and not ruin the excitement and once in a lifetime moment for their fans.’
‘Oh no I’m a movie star and I make millions but I cant handle fans being excited to see me for 20 minutes a week,’ a different user sarcastically wrote.
Others, however, stuck up for Jenna and slammed the fan.
‘She is clearly overwhelmed at the moment so rightfully she reacted like this! People are so disrespectful and she’s doing the best she can to meet everyone. Feel so bad for her,’ one person penned.

‘It’s almost like she’s a human being and that noise annoyed her? Do you guys genuinely forget that celebs are human beings?’ asked someone else.
Another user wrote, ‘Can’t imagine how overstimulating this must be. Like, she’s right in front of you, why do you need to scream in her face?!’
‘You can be firm without being disrespectful she handled that better than most would,’ applauded a different fan.
During an interview on Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard in 2023, Jenna revealed she has ‘immense social anxiety.’
‘When I was younger, I could talk to anyone. I was the outgoing kid, it’s part of why I wanted to do what I could do because I could go and sit in a room full of adults and make them laugh and tell them stories or put on little shows for them,’ she explained.
‘Now, the idea of having to hang out with people, even some of my closest friends, makes me nervous and then I feel like I can’t be myself.’
She added: ‘I have a really big thing with speech where I feel like I can’t always articulate things the way that I want them to and the way that I see things in my head is so vastly different than the way that they come out of my mouth.
‘That’s why I like to write a lot because it sounds like myself whereas when I speak I don’t feel I can reach people.’

She said, ‘I don’t think I’ve ever had to put my foot down more on a set in a way that I had to on Wednesday.
‘When I first signed onto the show, I didn’t have all the scripts. I thought it was going to be a lot darker.
‘When I read the entire series, I realized, “Oh, this is for younger audiences.” It wasn’t… I didn’t know what the tone was, or what the score would sound like.’
Jenna added that she decided to revamp the script because she felt it was ‘boring’ and audiences wouldn’t like it.
‘There were times on that set where I even became unprofessional, in a sense, where I just started changing lines,’ she dished.

The Beetlejuice actress has also opened up about suffering from ‘pretty intense’ OCD that leaves her feeling ‘really exhausted.’
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder is a mental health condition marked by obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors that people struggle to control.
During a discussion on the Heart Evening Show with Dev Griffin in April, she said, ‘I have pretty intense OCD.
‘My routine, in terms of repetitive thoughts, [involves] counting everything multiple times, and having to do the same action over and over.
‘So sometimes my nights consist of just being really exhausted and going up and down the stairs six times because that’s what I think I need to do to make sure no one breaks into my home.’
