Jamie Lee Curtis has issued some stern words in response to Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson’s rumored relationship.
All three legendary actors feature in the new reboot of the classic Leslie Nielsen comedy film – The Naked Gun – but two have seemingly developed their relationship further off-screen.
And actress Jamie Lee Curtis has issued some strong words regarding the potential romance.
Rumors have recently surfaced suggesting that Neeson and Anderson’s on-screen chemistry may extend beyond the film, as the two have exchanged compliments during the promotion of The Naked Gun.
Speaking to SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, Neeson said about his co-star: “She is gorgeous.
“She had this wonderful sense of silliness, and just humanity about her.”
And the feelings appear mutual, as Anderson branded Neeson the ‘perfect gentleman.’
Speaking at a press junket, she added: “He brings out the best in you…with respect, kindness and depth of experience. It was an absolute honour to work with him.”
A source recently told People Magazine that the actors have ‘a budding romance in the early stages,’ with claims that ‘it’s clear they’re smitten with each other’.
But Curtis has spoken out about the romance for herself, issuing a warning to people who ‘ship’ the couple.
The Freaky Friday actress told VT: “With all due respect to pop culture, if love has found its way into that relationship, God bless them both.
“Leave them the f**k alone! And let them like each other, because both of them have had hardship, and they’re both beautiful humans…it makes me cry.”
As she got more emotional about the due, she added: “They’re beautiful human beings, and if they have actually found an intimate love with each other, we should all go to bed tonight feeling better.
“And [Neeson] also suffered an unimaginable loss, so young and, you know, he’s had a really hard go of it.”
Users online suggested that the couple had ‘hard-launched’ their relationship on the red carpet for the newly-released film.
In response, Curtis added: “If, in fact, these people have ‘hard-launched’, then wish them the best and leave them alone.”
Following the tragic death of his wife, Natasha Richardson, in 2009, which came after she suffered a catastrophic head injury while skiing, Neeson has been open about choosing not to date.
Speaking with People in October, the star noted that he was ‘past all that.’
But it seems that Anderson may have re-ignited that side of him.
In another interview with the magazine about working with Anderson, he said: “With Pamela, first off, I’m madly in love with her.
“She’s just terrific to work with. I can’t compliment her enough, I’ll be honest with you.
“She’s funny and so easy to work with.”
He also joked that his s** scene with the star in The Naked Gun was so ‘hot’ that the intimacy coordinator had to leave the room, saying: “I can’t take this! This is too hot for me. I’m going for coffee.”
