In 2018, Jorge and his wife welcomed twin girls, Virginia and Catalina, in Argentina. Born at 36 weeks, they were healthy—but instantly caught global attention for their striking snow-white hair. The twins were diagnosed with albinism, a rare genetic condition causing little or no melanin production.
They became Argentina’s first recorded albino twins, stunning doctors and the public alike. While the condition makes them highly sensitive to sunlight, their parents consider them a blessing.
Now 4 years old, the sisters have grown even more beautiful, recently posing in handmade dresses that went viral online. Their story continues to spread awareness of albinism and celebrates the unique beauty of difference.
