Benji Madden and Cameron Diaz have been happily married for more than nine years now. Four years ago, they welcomed their daughter and have since kept her away from the public eye.

Cameron Diaz, 51, and her husband Benji Madden, 45, a musician, celebrated the arrival of their second child on Friday. The couple took to Instagram to share the joyful news of their son, Cardinal’s birth.
They announced it with a photo of a piece of art that said, “A little bird whispered to me.” This news caught many off guard, as no one was aware that the couple was expecting.
In the post, Madden expressed, “We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our Son, Cardinal Madden.” He added, “He is awesome and we are all so happy he is here!”
“To ensure the kids’ safety and privacy, we won’t be sharing any pictures – but he’s really adorable,” the caption continued. “We are feeling so blessed and grateful. Sending much love from our family to yours. Best wishes and Good Afternoon!!”
The couple tends to keep their personal lives very private. They got married in 2015 and welcomed their daughter Raddix in 2019. Prior to her birth, they remained silent about her arrival, only sharing the news on social media after she was born.
“We are incredibly happy, blessed, and thankful to kick off this new decade by announcing the arrival of our daughter, Raddix Madden,” Cameron Diaz shared in her daughter’s birth announcement. “She has immediately stolen our hearts and completed our family.”
“While we are thrilled to share this wonderful news, we also have a strong desire to safeguard our little one’s privacy,” the message continued. “Therefore, we won’t be sharing any photos or additional details, except to say that she is absolutely adorable!! Some might even say RAD :)”
A source close to the couple revealed that they faced many challenges to welcome their daughter. “They went through a lot to reach this moment.” The source further mentioned, “Cameron believes this baby is truly a miracle.” It was also noted that Raddix was born via surrogacy, a detail the couple has chosen not to discuss.
When the announcement of the second baby was made, it appears that some individuals were less than thrilled. One user on Instagram remarked, “Who in the world wants to become a parent at 51 years old?” while another stated, “Omg. She is so old, I hope they have a surrogate.”
