Miss Thailand Contestant’s Teeth Fall Out Mid-Speech During Onstage Moment

A Miss Thailand contestant is getting a lot of praise for staying calm and professional after her teeth unexpectedly fell out while she was speaking onstage.

Honestly, there are definitely easier and more private places for something like that to happen, like at home where no one is watching.

But instead, it happened in one of the worst possible settings, right in front of a live audience and cameras. The moment involved 18-year-old Kamolwan Chanago, who was giving her speech during the Miss Grand Thailand 2026 preliminaries on Wednesday (March 25).

The moment was captured on GrandTV during the live broadcast. In the clip, Chanago appeared to struggle mid-sentence as her veneers started to come loose.

She briefly turned away, which showed a natural reaction to the situation. Still, she quickly regained control and handled the moment with confidence, even taking a moment to show off her pink outfit to the crowd in Bangkok and viewers watching from different parts of the world.

Before leaving the stage, she even posed for the cameras. That small detail stood out to many people online, and it led to a wave of support and praise for how she dealt with such an uncomfortable situation in public.

“She handled this better than most of us handle a bad hair day. Is this the most iconic pageant moment ever?” one person commented, as per the Associated Press.

“Kamolwan Chanago’s composure was honestly iconic,” another person said on X.

While a fellow Miss Thailand viewer stated: “She should win the pageant for displaying such poise during what could also have been a medical emergency had she swallowed them or they fell and she tripped on them.”

And a fourth person quipped: “How embarrassing. I would die. It’s so impressive she carried on like nothing had happened.”

Following the incident, a spokesperson for Miss Grand International shared an official statement with People Magazine. They explained: “During her on-stage introduction, Kamolwan Chanago experienced a minor and unexpected incident in which her veneer teeth became dislodged.”

“She handled the situation with professionalism and composure, and the event continued smoothly without disruption. We are proud of her confidence and stage presence throughout the competition.”

At the moment, it is still unclear whether this unexpected viral moment could influence Chanago’s chances of winning the Miss Grand Thailand title. The competition includes 77 contestants from across Thailand, all competing for the 2026 crown, which will be decided during the final event on Saturday (March 28).

The winner of the pageant will go on to represent Thailand at the Miss Grand International 2026 competition, which is set to take place in India later this October.
