Amanda Bynes Speaks Out After Viral Video Claims Nickelodeon Producer Dan Schneider Impregnated Her At 13

Amanda Bynes has shut down a viral video that claimed Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider impregnated her when she was just 13. The clip spread quickly online, leaving many people confused, but Bynes stepped in to clear things up before the rumors spiraled further.

Schneider, who created several shows that shaped the childhoods of millions over the years, became the center of heavy scrutiny following allegations shared in the 2024 Investigation Discovery series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV. The documentary reopened old discussions about the environment on his sets and raised new questions for viewers who grew up watching his shows.

The program featured accounts from cast and crew who worked with Schneider during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Several people described experiences that involved alleged sexism, racism, and behavior toward young actors that they believed crossed professional boundaries. Their stories added to a larger conversation about how children in the industry were treated at the time.

Last year, Schneider talked about the accusations in an interview with BooG!e, the former iCarly cast member who played T-Bo. During their conversation, he addressed the criticism head-on and shared how he felt about the behavior he showed earlier in his career.

“Watching [the documentary] over the past two nights was very difficult, me facing my past behaviors, some of which are embarrassing and that I regret,” Schneider said.

“I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology.”

Recently, however, a new video began circulating on social media claiming that Amanda Bynes posted a TikTok in which she accused Schneider of assaulting her and impregnating her when she was 13. The claims were serious, and the video gained traction quickly due to her long history in Nickelodeon’s spotlight.

Bynes later confirmed that she never said anything of the sort and that the allegations being repeated online were completely false. She clarified that the video had been pieced together to mislead viewers and did not reflect anything she had actually shared.

Speaking on her TikTok stories, the former actor said: “This account has been making ridiculous allegations and saying things that I would never say.”

Bynes also told TMZ that the person behind the viral video pulled clips from her social media and edited them together to create ‘lies for clickbait’, noting that the entire thing was put together by someone who clearly had too much time on their hands.

During Schneider’s March 2024 interview, BooG!e pointed out that many of the jokes Schneider wrote for his shows are now viewed as inappropriate or uncomfortable, even though they were originally performed by child actors for a young audience. That shift in perspective has added fuel to the criticism surrounding his past work.

Schneider pushed back on this idea and insisted that ‘every one of those jokes was written for a kid audience because kids thought they were funny, and only funny’. He also said that he was never against removing material from old shows if something no longer felt right to include.

“Let’s cut those jokes out of the show, just like I would have done 20 years ago or 25 years ago” he said.

“I want my shows to be popular. I want everyone to like (the shows), the more people who liked the shows, the happier I am.”

“So if there’s anything in a show that needs to be cut because it’s upsetting somebody, let’s cut it.”

In November 2024, a judge in California ruled that Schneider could move forward with a defamation lawsuit against Warner Bros.

Discovery and the producers behind Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.

The decision allowed the case to continue and added another chapter to a story that has already generated significant public attention.
