MEXICALI, Mexico (KYMA) – An 11-year-old boy with autism was rescued in Mexicali following a case of alleged child abuse.
Police found the boy kneeling in mud and exposed to the sun Sunday.
The boy’s mother and stepfather told officers they were punishing him for misbehaving. Both were arrested on suspicion of child abuse.
The child was placed in Baja California state custody.
