Holly Madison, who is 45 years old, was in a relationship with Hugh Hefner for some time. The former Playboy model recently appeared on a podcast with Owen Thiele, where she opened up about her personal experiences.
She candidly discussed her intimate life with the late Playboy founder, stating, “Well, it’s a very different story between when we were just by ourselves than with everybody else in the room.”
“Everybody else in the room, no,” she added, referring to group sex, which she found unenjoyable. She expressed her feelings about it, saying, “That was disgusting. I hated it. I made it very known I hated it.”
Madison also talked about the 53-year age difference between her and Hefner, noting that it did not affect their intimate life. She remarked, “If it was just me and him, it was a lot more normal than you would think.” Hefner passed away in 2017 at the age of 91.
Podcast host Thiele voiced his skepticism about the idea of their relationship being ‘normal’ given the significant age gap. Madison replied, “Nobody does.”
“There was a time when I couldn’t post anything [on social media] without some dumba– in the comments [being] like, ‘Oh, old balls,’” she recalled. “Maybe some people’s balls do get old and nasty, but I’ve never seen such a thing,” she added.
She also noted that during their intimate moments, she and Hefner always kept the lights off.
“You know, there’s a saying: ‘All cats are gray in the dark,’ ” she joked.
Madison and Hefner were in a relationship from 2001 to 2008. In the past, she has expressed feeling pressured to engage in group sex with Hefner.
She has also previously mentioned the strange things she would occasionally witness while living in the mansion. She recounted, “They would have these trays everywhere, like in every bathroom, out on the tennis courts, by the pool, and it would be a tray with Kleenex, Pepto Bismol, Vaseline, baby oil, sunscreen — any kind of makeshift lube.” The Playboy model added, “It was weird.”
“My experiences that highlighted the negative aspects are more connected to the relationship and the dynamics within it, both with Hef and some of the other girls,” Madison explained.
She made it clear that she didn’t dislike the job itself, stating, “I 100 percent enjoyed posing for the magazine. I was always a fan of the pictorials. I always wanted to be in Playboy. And I even worked at the studio producing the playmate pictorials for a couple of years, and that was a super fun experience. So, it’s very multifaceted for me.”
