ST. Woman with autism, social anxiety disappears in Orange County

Authorities are searching for a woman with autism and social anxiety who went missing in Orange County over the weekend.

Lien Thuy Nguyen, a Vietnamese-speaking woman, was last seen leaving a residence on foot around 6:40 a.m. Sunday in Fountain Valley, according to the Anaheim Police Department.

Nguyen is known to take public transportation and may have later been seen near Katella Avenue and Harbor Boulevard in Anaheim around 8:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.

She was wearing a yellow jacket, dark pants, pink socks, dark-colored shoes and a white bucket hat. Nguyen stands 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Investigators said Nguyen walks with a limp and was carrying a blue floral suitcase and a blue grocery bag.

Anyone who sees Nguyen or knows of her whereabouts is asked to contact the Anaheim Police Department at 714-765-1900 or call 911 if the sighting is current.
